Sadly, I don’t think seaweed can replace jet fuel

Hi all,

the engineering results are out from some of the open ocean floating seaweed farms. While they’re amazing and could feed the world all the protein powders and food additives and shellfish we could need – that’s the price point that works. Only the higher end food additives. They’re just too expensive to build out for fuel or as a geoengineering carbon sink. Not going to happen. 😦 See point 5 here.
