In 2009 Michael Dittmar wrote articles for the “The Oil Drum” that painted a pessimistic future for uranium extraction; that basically the nuclear industry would go into crisis because of ‘peak uranium’. The authors at NBF contested this pessimism, nevertheless, the pessimism spread through to MIT, “The Economist” and others. Dittmar now has egg on his face, and the others may have to review their coverage of Dittmar’s pessimism.
