Another reason I’m against carbon taxes

I personally just think we should ban any expansion of an existing coal plant or the construction of any new coal plant. We should allow the marketplace to investigate modularising and standardising GenIII reactors, and put the beasts on the construction line to cut costs. We should fund research into commercialising GE’s S-PRISM GenIV reactor. And we should aim to totally replace all coal plants in Australia in 15 to 20 years.

If the Beyond Zero Emissions team think renewables  can replace baseload electricity in 10 years for $320 billion, then I know nukes can replace coal for half that price.

Just read through this list of problems with a carbon tax!
